Our Founder
Vashone Rhodes is a man who has made a vision for local youth come true with the formation of the Life After Whistles (L.A.W.) Student Center housed in the Duncanville, Texas Bob Knight’s Field House.
Our Mission
Our mission is to promote projects that will show our youth their options beyond athletics. We are committed to serving the most vulnerable, yet difficult to reach group in our community, our at-risk youth. Focusing on high-need communities, our programs seek to provide enriching life experiences that encourage and challenge youth to excel in their development intellectually, emotionally, and socially. Though we pursue one mission, we offer a variety of options for challenge and achievement. L.A.W. strives to offer our scholars the opportunity to take ownership of their future, making a difference today and in the future.
